“The 3 week tour you planned for us went with perfect timing and was well organised, with the guides in the field keeping in touch with you and checking ahead that everything was arranged.
The guides were excellent on the birds of their regions.
The guide in Manu road always went the extra mile to make sure we got everything out of our days, and nights. He was tireless in finding species that were important and always knew where to find the stakeout birds.
Places were good, food was delicious, beer was cold, and you were all friendly and helpful.”

We spent a fabulous 5 weeks of birding along Peruvian Birding’s northern and southern routes as well as a couple of day trips out of Lima. Upon arrival we were greeted at Jorge Chavez International Airport by Victor (managing director) and Patricia Martinez and whisked to our hotel for the night. After two days of free time in Lima to sightsee we had a day tour along the coast and then a second day tour around Lima and out to the Palomino Island (birds and sea lions) before heading to the airport for our flight to Chiclayo and the start of the northern route. This route ended 12 nights later in Tarapoto. After a one night stopover in Lima we boarded our flight to Cusco and the start of the southern route (16 nights including a couple of free days in Cusco).
Victor accompanied us for the entire 5 weeks and served as an expeditor, scope porter, coffee brewer and expert bird spotter and, when all was said and done- a good friend. Jean and Satu were excellent guides and very pleasant to spend time with. In summary it was a delightful trip and not only for the birds and scenery for which Peru is notably famous but also for the efficiency and friendliness of the Peruvian Birding staff.
