Peru Lima 5: Palomino Islands and Villa Wetlands

This day we will be entirely dedicated to the birds associated to Marine ecosystems and wetlands. Early in the morning we will go to the Maritime Port in Callao (the Main Port of Perú) where we will visit La Arenilla wetlands, at this point we can watch Shorebirds as American and Blackish Oystercatcher, Plover, Gulls, Peruvian Seaside Cinclodes, and other species. Then we will go the pier and take a boat to Palomino Islands, there we will find  Inca Tern, Peruvian Pelican, Boobies, Humboldt Penguin, and others.

In the afternoon, we will visit Villa Wetlands (RAMSAR SITE) this ecosystem  is located in Lima and  shelters several species like Great Grebe, Pied-billed Grebe, Great Egret, Black-crowned Night-Heron, Cinnamon Teal, White-cheeked Pintail, Burrowing Owl, Osprey, Killdeer, Greater Yellowlegs, Peruvian Thick Knee, Many Colored Rush Tyrant, Peruvian Meadowlark, Yellow hooded Blackbird and others.  Snack included. Stay in Lima at hotel of your preference. (Snack)
